One of the things I’m always interested in when travelling to other countries (because, after all, I travel so much), is what the washrooms are like. Are Asian toilets different than Canadian toilets? Are there different rules, different techniques, different traditions? The answer, ladies and gentlemen, is a resounding YES!

I’m pretty sure the pipe is water that you put in the bucket and pour it down the bowl to wash everything down

That’s exactly how it is in Vietnam. I hate Vietnamese bathrooms. If you take a shower, you get EVERYTHING wet. .___________.

Oh man. I’ve heard the squatting ones are better, they reduce the risk of…something or other, but the sitting down one being in public like that?
I’ve had nightmares like that!
