Kpop Music Mondays: SHINee “Hello”

People have been asking for us to review this video ever since it came out. In fact, people even asked for it BEFORE it came out. So today we’ll review SHINee’s Hello, and try to prove that – even though they’re pretending to be cutey, they’re really badass secret agents.

So, right off the bat, we can say that this song is wayyyy different than Lucifer. When we reviewed that song, we were totally slaughtered by the dance. It was way too hard, and is perhaps the most complex dance of the year thus far. So when we saw SHINee do “Hello” we were floored, because the dance was really, really different. Super easy. Deceptively so. And they’re not looking seductively at the camera and wiping their lips anymore. Now they’re smiling and big eyed and all cutey. So, the only way to reconcile the two is to assume that they’re really undercover agents hired by the CIA to win girls’ hearts but infiltrated corrupt corporations and assassinate evil bosses around the world. That’s gotta be it. Otherwise, we have no idea why they’d change so drastically.

Anyhow, this week we pit SHINee’s “Hello” against Super Junior’s ” ” and asks you which one is cuter. And also you’ll see Spudgy dancing again! Hooray! This was just an arm dance, so he’s totally ok with it :D

Wow I never heard “No Other” before but I like it a lot. Probably because this was the first SJ video I’ve seen in which they hadn’t gotten themselves locked in a box with shiny floors and the only way to escape was to dance…
