Kpop Music Mondays: T-ara “Yayaya”
Last week we reviewed T-ara’s “Why Are You Being Like This” and mentioned that they seemed a bit off and stalkerish. We thought it was a joke. This week they came out with a new video, and our theories were confirmed!
Yes, T-ara crossed the line with this video a bit. Last week they seemed stalkerish by telling a guy that they knock for him everyday and they’re upset that he’s not reciprocating his love. That was creepy. This time, in yayaya, they’re what seem to be the leaders of an tribe on an island full of sexy Korean girls. Awesome. Then a good looking guy crashes his plane into their island. He washes ashore, and they find him face first in the ground. What do they do, instead of try to help him out and tend to his injuries? Tie him up to a pole and flirt with him. They feed him and hug him and probably pet him and say to him “My Precious….yessss. Nasty Hobitses will not take my precious!” or something like that. Very weird.
What’s even more weird about the video is that the guy looks totally upset by the whole thing. He crashes his plane into an island full of girls and gets the royal treatment. Isn’t that like the promised land for Al Queda? Ohhhh that wasn’t funny. Anyhow, sure, we can see a couple of reasons why he’s upset. Maybe he has a family back home, or maybe he’s actually injured from crashing his plane and he’s freaked out by all these girls tickling him. Fine. We won’t hold it against him.
Here’s something we didn’t mention in the video: now, some fat guy gets to the island as well, and does what probably most other guys would do: ties himself up instead. Whatever happened to the first guy we don’t know. Maybe the fat guy killed him to get rid of the competition. Who knows. Anyhow, when T-ara come back out, though, they see a more willing recipient of their affections, but they get all upset! T-ara! Come on now! I mean, we saw the people on your island: there aren’t any kids there at all. Birth-rate is obviously quite low there! Stop being picky now, and get back to repopulating your sexy island and saving your culture! Jeez! Sure, he’s not hot, but you had a hot guy there already and treated him terribly. Baby steps. You gotta learn how to walk before you can run.

We’re totally amazed and thankful to all of you who have subscribed and continue to watch our videos. So, we’d like to give something back, though it isn’t much.
