Strawberry Curry

So, these Wonderful Treasure Finds sure are gonna be easy to find! These things we found on our very first day in Japan. We got to our service apartment, then went out for CocoCurry, and then went straight to Don Quixote for some basic necessities for our service apartment. While we were there, though, we saw a few awesome things (though Don Quixotes are full of awesome things), including this lovely fabric softener:

Oriental Woody

Apart from that, we found lots of Strawberry themed items for strawberry season in Japan. The first of which that caught our eyes, Strawberry curry. It was on a wall full of strawberry stuff, which is where we got the rest of the strawberry items in this video, but this was the first thing that caught our eye. I mean, how couldn’t it? An anime figure with her underwear exposed…on a box of curry? Why, oh why? I don’t know, but the sales tactic worked, and we bought a box, though we’ll never buy one again.

Also, I’d like to apologize for the terrible lighting in this video. It’s our first video in our service apartment, and we’re trying to get used to it. We shouldn’t be making too many videos there, because we’ll be moving out soon once we pick our new place to live in, so you won’t have to see the flickering and Martina totally overblown as well too often in the future. Promise! Our new place is gonna have lots of really pretty natural lighting and everything is going to be lovely. And we’ll have somewhere to sit or stand! Sitting on the floor like that is really tough for us. We couldn’t get used to it in Korea, and we can’t get used to it here either. Our bodies are too old to adapt.

  4. You guys are so much braver than I would be to try that curry, lol. I think I’ll just stick to blackberry season in Los Angeles for now. :)
But I hope you guys find some amazing strawberry and blueberry treats to enjoy.

  5. I loved all those seasonal specialties when I lived in Japan. But lemme tell ya, if you find something and fall in love with it, you better GET YOUR FILL because you’ll go to the store two weeks later looking for it, and that thang is GONE son! It hurt every time! Especially during sakura mochi season, which is coming soon! If you guys haven’t had that, you gotta! It’s the best wagashi (Japanese sweet) there is!! *dreamy stare*

Oh! And McDonalds once had something called an Idaho burger. They put the breakfast hashbrown on top of the burger with a special BBQ-like sauce! Best. Thing. Ever.

  6. When I have to microwave something all spattery, I discovered that putting a plate on top of the bowl saves me from having to do the dreaded cleaning job later.

  7. So it was a good thing that me and my friend didn’t gave in to temptation and bought the strawberry curry when we visited Japan XDDD

A small request though, I know that the two of you have only recently moved to Japan but is it possible to make a video about the processes to move over to Japan and also how to find a house and etc?

  8. Never expected strawberry curry to be a thing O.O. I really want to try some nice flavours of oreos or Kit-Kat in Korea but I honestly haven’t come across anything special in my nearest HomePlus (maybe except the honey mustard Pringles). Maybe I’ll need to get to a Lotte Mart or something like that. Or it’s just in Japan and it seems some USA korean markets seem to have more crazy flavours than I can find in South Korea.

  9. Kudos on trying the strawberry curry, even just the thought of it gave me a tummy ache :( The strawberry oreos looked really good though! I’m totally jealous, I wish they had flavors like that here. I’m also totally jealous of the many different kitkat flavors you get to try. Why don’t they have them everywhere? Whyyyy?!
