WANK - Arcade and Other Gaming

Woohoo! It’s time for another Wonderful Adventure Now Korea, aka WANK, where we run around Korea and have fun. We spent our first two episodes in Seoul, in Myeongdong and Samchungdong. We didn’t want to go to Seoul again this time, but we also don’t want to limit our Wanking to city locations. We want to Wank in many different ways as well. In this case, we’re Wanking at an arcade, and playing with other people as we Wank. We also go to a love cafe, and Wank with each other in a private love booth. Ooh!

The arcade was especially fun, because it had lots of fun games that we don’t see the likes of in Canada (or didn’t see, those few times we went to arcades). We never saw a Dance Dance revolution game played by one person, OVER TWO PADS. Seriously! How the hell did he do both at once? It’s really hard not to use a “_____ level: Asian” joke in here. That guy was intense.

We played a bunch of games with drums and hammers and steering wheels and such. Lost in Street Fighter to a scaredy cat who kept on running away and blocking. Whatever happened to running at people and fighting with honour? Ahh! Also, I – Simon here – totally rocked those basketball games in which you have to score as many baskets as possible in a finite amount of time. FYI, I’m great at basketball and not humble about it at all :D

Also, you saw us spend a good portion of our time at the Love Cafe, which was the first time we ever went to a cafe like that before. We know that Korean Coffee shops are very popular, and we’ve done videos on them before, but we’ve never seen one like this before. You get your own booth, closed off with a door, so you get lots of privacy, but you have to take off your shoes before you get into the booth, because it’s pretty much a giant sofa/bed/something soft. It was really comfy. We didn’t try any of the coffee because it was already 11PM, and we didn’t want to be super alert for the rest of the night. The desert was alright, and the juice was decent. I think the food and drinks aren’t their main selling point. It’s all about the ability to have privacy, and this place gives the most privacy we’ve ever seen in a cafe. They even knock before they open your door to bring your food, just in case you’re…doing something.

Anyhow, as for the shooting games and batting cages, we included those in the blooper reel, because the Wanking video was getting far too long. Feels like they’re going to creep up on the 30 minute mark in a few months. Remember when our Music Mondays were, like, three minutes long? Now they’re all pushing 10 minutes. Jeez!
