WANK - Goodbye, Bucheon! - Eat Your Kimchi

Oh! This is such a difficult video for us. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is (probably?) the last time you’ll see a video of us playing around in Bucheon. We’ve been apartment hunting in Seoul for a while now, but we finally found the perfect one, and we’re moving on Tuesday morning. You’d be shocked at how hard it is to find a place when you’re picky about window angles due to filming in your living room! Hehehe…try explaining that to a real estate agent. “Um…the windows face the wrong way; this L shape living room won’t work for Music Mondayl there is no wall for the kpop chart updates…” *crazy eyes from agent*

So, now that we’re officially going to be living in Seoul, we’ll be able to start office/studio space hunting, too! I’m thinking, right beside the YG Entertainment building. BUUUUAHAHAHHAAAAA!! *buys binoculars* Just joking! *puts binoculars away* We’re not actually close to the YG building. We can’t get the new studio yet, though, until the fundraiser is finished, though we’d love to start looking now! Unfortunately, Indiegogo policy is that you can’t change the deadline for fundraiser’s once it’s gone live. We really didn’t know we’d reach our goal at all! But that’s another story. We’ll keep you up to date with the studio hunting once we get settled into the area!

Anyhoo, at 9AM on Tuesday the movers are coming…and we’re probably gonna be up till 4AM working on Music Monday. DON’T FAIL US NOW COFFEE!!! So we wanted to spend today’s WANK showing off Bucheon for one last time, and pointing out all the places to us that hold special memories for us. I’d like to take the time to do a little trip down memory lane time breakdown:

May 2008: we arrived in Bucheon and move into our first very cozy office-tel which overlooks the big central park. We live there for three years while we are still teachers and working on our blog at the same time.

June 2011: Martina quits teaching and we move (up the street) to our current office-tel, and we both work on our blog full-time.

September 2012: After scrounging up enough money for a business visa, we’re moving into our new office-tel in Seoul, where we plan on having new adventures in a brand new neighbourhood! It will be our first time to ride our scooter in Seoul! Scary? I don’t know yet! Ohh, now Spudgy is a city dog! :D

Hmmm. That memory lane should have had more dates in it, shouldn’t it have? Maybe not. Keep it short and sweet!

Last thing I want to say about Bucheon: before we came to Korea, and we were told that we’re not living in Seoul, but Bucheon, we thought that we’d be living on a farm somewhere and snuggling up to cows at night. We had no clue what our area would be like. We were totally shocked when we came here to see such an awesome, bustling city. It’s grown so much since we first moved in, and we’re hoping that, now that we’re leaving Bucheon, people will have a better idea about it than what we had when we first came. We love you Bucheon! We’re going to miss you!

Otherwise, besides the main video, we’re also including a little extra video of Simon strapping on a helmet cam and scootering around the city pointing out some of the areas we hung out in for our WANKS, FAPFAPS, and many other videos. I hope you all enjoy and will look forward to the new adventures we will all be going on together in our new neighbourhood!
