Oh! This is such a difficult video for us. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is (probably?) the last time you’ll see a video of us playing around in Bucheon. We’ve been apartment hunting in Seoul for a while now, but we finally found the perfect one, and we’re moving on Tuesday morning. You’d be shocked at how hard it is to find a place when you’re picky about window angles due to filming in your living room! Hehehe…try explaining that to a real estate agent. “Um…the windows face the wrong way; this L shape living room won’t work for Music Mondayl there is no wall for the kpop chart updates…” *crazy eyes from agent*

So, now that we’re officially going to be living in Seoul, we’ll be able to start office/studio space hunting, too! I’m thinking, right beside the YG Entertainment building. BUUUUAHAHAHHAAAAA!! *buys binoculars* Just joking! *puts binoculars away* We’re not actually close to the YG building. We can’t get the new studio yet, though, until the fundraiser is finished, though we’d love to start looking now! Unfortunately, Indiegogo policy is that you can’t change the deadline for fundraiser’s once it’s gone live. We really didn’t know we’d reach our goal at all! But that’s another story. We’ll keep you up to date with the studio hunting once we get settled into the area!

Anyhoo, at 9AM on Tuesday the movers are coming…and we’re probably gonna be up till 4AM working on Music Monday. DON’T FAIL US NOW COFFEE!!! So we wanted to spend today’s WANK showing off Bucheon for one last time, and pointing out all the places to us that hold special memories for us. I’d like to take the time to do a little trip down memory lane time breakdown:

May 2008: we arrived in Bucheon and move into our first very cozy office-tel which overlooks the big central park. We live there for three years while we are still teachers and working on our blog at the same time.

June 2011: Martina quits teaching and we move (up the street) to our current office-tel, and we both work on our blog full-time.

September 2012: After scrounging up enough money for a business visa, we’re moving into our new office-tel in Seoul, where we plan on having new adventures in a brand new neighbourhood! It will be our first time to ride our scooter in Seoul! Scary? I don’t know yet! Ohh, now Spudgy is a city dog! :D

Hmmm. That memory lane should have had more dates in it, shouldn’t it have? Maybe not. Keep it short and sweet!

Last thing I want to say about Bucheon: before we came to Korea, and we were told that we’re not living in Seoul, but Bucheon, we thought that we’d be living on a farm somewhere and snuggling up to cows at night. We had no clue what our area would be like. We were totally shocked when we came here to see such an awesome, bustling city. It’s grown so much since we first moved in, and we’re hoping that, now that we’re leaving Bucheon, people will have a better idea about it than what we had when we first came. We love you Bucheon! We’re going to miss you!

Otherwise, besides the main video, we’re also including a little extra video of Simon strapping on a helmet cam and scootering around the city pointing out some of the areas we hung out in for our WANKS, FAPFAPS, and many other videos. I hope you all enjoy and will look forward to the new adventures we will all be going on together in our new neighbourhood!

  1. Maybe this is a dumb question, but why can’t you guys have your business based in Bucheon? Is it a business decision to be closer to the music action in Seoul? Or is there some rule where foreigners have to be licensed there? BTW Martina you totally made me tear up. Don’t cry! No crying! You’re too cute to cry. T.T

  2. Good Luck on your new place. Being in and out of Korea myself I can relate to heartbreak of goodbyes.

On another note, Bucheon looks like downtown Jeonju, which looks like Sindabang in Seoul. Um…

  3. I’ve been lurking that long?!?! LOL I love you two so much & I’m so happy to see your success grow. It’s good to see good people like you’all just conquer Korea bit by bit… with the help of spudgeeee & meeeems, you shall rule ober the world… mwahahahaha
Can’t wait to see the new place soon. Hooray (^0^)/

  4. I can’t believe how naive (not meant in a bad way) you guys were re: your fan base. Once I checked out indiegogo when it was only like $2K or so I thought 45 days… wtf… probably’ll take 3 days tops. It’s Seoul too, so you guys’ll need the money just to get a half-decent place. I knew you guys would make it into the BIG… i mean, semi-not-poor time, and you will make it BIG one day, sooner rather than later.

Can’t wait for the next vid from you guys.

  5. OHG My heart completely fell straight out of my hinside when I saw this statement “Oh! This is such a difficult video for us. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is (probably?) the last time you’ll see a video of us playing around in Bucheon.” Wooo I need Oxygen… Simon and Martina you guys dont understand I’m such a fangirl for you guys I was in mid tears… I’m still a little teary eyed though haha… But I hope the best for you guys and I’m praying on your growing success S&M FIGHTING!!!

  6. I have this really weird, far-off, distance-y, nostalgia feeling.

  7. oh my gawd. i got sooo emotional while the video proceed. i think it all started from seeing martina crying T^T at the end i almost cried too T^T it’s really sad u hav to leave such a memorable city T^T but seoul is waiting~!! :D hope u’ll build even more precious memories there :D n waitin to see the vid from ur new appartment~!! also don’t forget to give us ur new address for the fanmail~!! or… the old one will be still valid…?? XD
omg i kinda realized now, that there will be a whole new background in ur vids… kyaaaa!!!!

  8. In your video I noticed a bike path beside the sidewalk and lots of bikes parked at HomePlus. Could you guys talk about cycling infrastructure there and whether biking has become more popular recently? Here in NYC, the popularity of cycling has seriously boomed the last couple of years.

  9. OF COURSE IT HAS TO BE AN APARTMENT TOUR !!! :D Good luuuuck :D

  10. Wishing you all the best in Seoul! I’m so happy I stumbled onto your videos on Youtube (thanks Gangnam Style!) and I’ve spent hours watching your videos. They are so fun to watch and I really learned a lot about Korea from you guys. Keep up the awesome work and stay true to your nerdy and nasty selves!!

  11. Wow, watching this, I feel so nostalgic for you guys!

  12. Oh gawd at 00:55 I looked away from the screen to take a bite of ice cream and heard that noise, it was so scary!!!!

  13. the first video I saw of you was the tteokbokki one! good memories. :’)

  14. It’s so sad to see that you guys are leaving Bucheon but I know you guys will do well in Seoul too. Hopefully you will be there when I come and visit my Unni after I graduate. I am also going to apply to teach over there so keep us updated!!!!

  15. Same. I had found their videos at the beginning of May, and I know I’ve only been watching their videos for a few months, but I’ve learned so much and seen most of their videos, it feels like so much longer. D:

  16. omgomg the music in español on the last video !!! :’D

  17. oH my! i’m so excited of see the new apartment! :3

  18. THE PHO PLACE ABOVE THE CHICKEN PLACE. HAVE YOU BEEN THERE?

  19. Good Luck you guys! :) Hope that your new apartment in Seoul is great!

  20. So sad. I actually cryed when Martina teared up. I’m gonna miss you too Bucheon!

  21. Woa, poor Martina :( I hope the new apartment and area will offer you at least just as many happy moments and places. As a funny thing, the first place you filmed this video it´s the street corner and that was the first video I ever saw from you :D I wish you good luck form now on!

  22. YES!! Me! Me! Pick Me!! :D

*phew* I was starting to feel like a terrible unsympathetic person over here, with so many people saying how they were tearing up and stuff. Maybe it’s because I’ve moved so much, I don’t really get emotional about moves anymore, whether it be mine or someone else’s. Sorry Martina >_<

  23. Hi guys, I just moved from a place I lived in in Scarborough for the last 11 years and I totally understand how you are feeling. I even started crying when Martina cried. It’s going to be great though, don’t worry :D

  24. Seeing the hallway to your first officetel reminds me of what Martina had to do after losing the Jero game in Korean Hand Games. =)

  25. So excited for the next chapter in the EYK journey
You guise re-define what people want, because it’s not forced, it’s all about a passion to show what you love, about Korea, to the world

  26. OMG! You guys are living in buchen so far?! Now I realize!
now I’m living in calgary, canada though. I used to live next to buchen!
And My university is in seoul!
It means If I go back to korea next year, there’s a chance to see you guys on the road!
    What a small world!kk

  27. I actually started to cry when Martina did . . .so emotional…

Anyways ~ looking forward to new fapfap’s and wanks from Seoul ^-^

  28. Awww watching this wank and the videos of the memories I also feel as if I’m moving xD haha! Thank you for showing us such a beautiful city, and not keeping it all to yourselves! I hope you like your new place in Seoul and I hope you can make as many memories there as you have in Bucheon ^^ I’ll look forward to your videos from Seoul!!!! Simon and Martina + Spudgy and Memes fighintg :)

  29. I have been watching you guys for 3 years. I haven’t been there from the beginning but I feel like it. I did, however, go back and watch all of your beginning videos and I feel like I am apart of the S&M family. I cried so hard thinking about all the good times, and how each video made me feel and cheered me up when I watched it. Although it is sad I am so happy for you! I can’t wait to see the amazing things that are to come, and it is always nice to know that I can always go back and remember the good times.

  30. Aw. This is making me cry now. I’m so mushy, I hate myself. T.T Why do I feel like I’m the one leaving Bucheon? I need a hug from Nasties. T.T

  31. Hey guise, Bucheon is a throw stone from Seoul, is it really far enough for Kpop people to be inconvenient? Or is it too provincial/suburban thus uncool for entertainment industry? I’d be interested in why you feel shifting to Seoul is very important especially when you love Bucheon that much :)

  32. HeY Simon and Martina! My friends and I sent a care package out to you guys, 2 weeks ago before we knew you were going to move… So we sent it to your address on your site.. Do you think you will still get it even though your moving???

  33. The videos you’ve made you made have been definitely entertaining. I hope to enjoy more of your videos in Seoul. I’m curious to see a new beginning for the both of you. Good luck and keep working hard! I’m a big fan of your WANKs and FAPFAPs!

  34. Don’t cry!! I know it’s scary, but super exciting! And you can always come back to visit! We Nasties are behind you!!

  35. Martina, I have never been to Korea but I cried along with you while watching this video. Good look to you guys in Seoul!

  36. After watching the ddukbokki part I paused the video and now I am going down stairs to get dduknokki at 9PM on a Saturday night. Thanks for the delicious cravings EYK!
