Smiling is just so contagious.

Looking back at all this amazing footage to create this video just had me smiling from ear to ear. As I searched through all the footage from every single fan meet, I got to see everyone listening, smiling, and laughing to our silly stories. It was wonderful! So we wanted to share with all of you the feelings of happiness we had when getting the chance to meet all of you wonderful smiling Nasties. For those of you that couldn’t make it, I hope to infect you with the contagious feeling of happiness that you get when you watch other people laugh and smile. Not to mention, the wonderful and glorious feeling of watching Simon lose multiple times at the panty hat challenge. BUAHAHAHAH! (Simon interjection here: you should be cheering for me when I win! Not when I lose! You’re rooting for the wrong side!)

Now a lot of people have asked us what goes on when we do tours and meet ups. We don’t want to give everything away (gotta leave some things as a surprise) but we’ll give you a little taste of it in this video. We usually play with some of our favourite WTF items, answer Q&As, tell stories, and of course, get hugs and pictures with everyone. Well, actually, we just gave everything away. Ha! But there’s more to it than just that. There’s a feeling in the room. It’s not just what we do on stage. It’s also about how you are when you’re there. It’s not an us on one side and you on the other side. We’re all there together, chatting together, telling our own stories and listening to yours. I don’t know how to describe it. It feels less like an audience we’re presenting to and more like a family reunion we’re partaking in. Thank you all for being part of our big, Nasty family!

Also, we really want to give a big thank you to all of the volunteers that helped out with the events. You helped keep everything organized. Helped keep us from passing out! You could have just watched the event and that was that, but instead you poured so much effort into helping out and we really, earnestly appreciate it. Thank you to Yours Truly and UBC KWave for helping out in Canada. Thank you so much to the US Nasties. I’m sorry if we were underwhelming off stage. We’re very nervous before we go on, and we’re totally exhausted afterwards. I hope that seeing us between these two awkward states didn’t spoil your image of us. Touring is scary!

Lastly, we really want to thank all of you who came to our events and waited in these terribly long lines for the chance to say hi and to get a picture. I’m sorry to those of you at the ends of the line who might have been rushed because the stages were kicking us out because we went way over time. To those of you that we spoke with, however, and you took the time to tell us how our videos have helped you…hot damn I’m getting all emotional thinking about it now. You’ve shared with us how we’ve impacted your lives. We can’t begin to tell you just how strongly you’ve impacted ours. Thank you for making us feel warm and loved on the inside!

So here’s our small happy feeling video! Thank you for putting smiles on our faces when we were doing the tour, and thank you for putting big smiles on our faces now when we’re looking over this video. It felt great putting it together. Thank you all for bringing this joy into our lives :D

  1. Volunteering for the Seattle Show was so much fun! Being able to support each of the team was amazing and an honor. I enjoyed being able to help and stand in the genuine glow of your awesome selves.
What I learned: You are not portraying a characters when you post videos. Your vlogs/skits are true to who you are. (Fun, silly, and heart warming.)
Thank you, for the gift for allowing us to help with your tour.
It was a joy and a life moment for us all.

    • That’s really kind of you to say. I felt very different, though, than what I usually am on camera. I’m a lot more confident when we’re filming, but what you saw behind the stage was me ultra anxious and uncomfortable. I’m glad you don’t think of me that way :D

      • I fail at every presentation I do, because, I loose all rational thought. Standing in the public eye is a great challenge.
My hat goes off to anyone who can manage to do it with grace and pizzazz. Even through your terror you make it all look good. Simon, you make it look easy. (When you are on.)

  2. Hey guise! Thank you for being who you are! I was the one who submitted the video on the app posing with the Se Ri Pak bobblehead and you have me in this video at the 1:26 mark. Since I was among the last to get to meet you we weren’t able to chat much. You may now be wondering about the button I was wearing that night. Some years ago one of the other participants on the message forum for SeoulSisters.com, a fan site devoted to the Koreans on the LPGA Tour, made up a batch and passed them out to other forum posters he ran into at tournaments we attended around North America. I’m amazed that I still have mine after all these years. Just so you know I went back on eBay and got another Se Ri Pak bobblehead that I wish to send to you in the not too distant future along with a letter (not autographed like mine, however), as soon as I have sufficient time to sit down and write it. I hope you had a chance to enjoy some Fluffernutter sandwiches with the peanut butter and Marshmallow Fluff that I left and washed it down with some of the Moxie, two New England favorites.

Staying on the subject of golf, the LPGA’s annual stop in Korea is the weekend of 15-18 October in Incheon. Even if you’re not inclined to go out and meet some of these incredible ladies I am acquainted with a few of them on Twitter and will at least try to steer some of them into the You Are Here cafe for a visit while they’re in town. The weekend before that as you might know is when some of the top male golfers on the planet compete in a biennial team competition called the Presidents Cup, which will also be in Incheon, although the admission prices for that might be a little too rich for your blood.

    Keep being awesome, guise!

  3. Sigh this makes me think back of the eyk tour in Holland it was on Eid Al-Fitr I believe and instead of going to visit family like we usually do I came with some family members to Amsterdam, sat on the first row and just celebrated it with you guys!! It was definitely one of the best memories I ever created on a Eid Al-Fitr holiday. THANK YOU !!!

  5. Getting to meet you two in person and tell you what you’re videos have done for me, seeing your relationship, was amazing! I can’t thank you two enough for taking those 2 minutes to listen to what I had to say and to take a picture with me. I will treasure that picture forever. I also thank Leigh and Soozee for taking pictures with me. I had a great time and I can’t wait to see all of you again. Hopefully in Korea!

    • I gotta say, yours is one of the names I remember the longest. You’ve been with us for a long time. Thank you for sticking with us :D

  6. Awww! It was so fun to meet you guys and it’s fun to actually see clips of what it was like in the other cities! This past summer has been extremely stressful in so many ways and this event was a pick me up I needed very much. Also, it might sound weird to read but thanks for adding the part that made you cry at the end. My bestie is the bunny girl who made you cry and you have absolutely no idea how much this is going to make her day. <3 I wouldn't be amazed if I received a phone call of just her squeeling haha.

  7. Awww the feels~ Chris and I are super happy we got to meet you and the EYK crew in SF! Just wondering, each group got to do a couple of poses but only one of each group was posed on FB. Are you going to post the other pictures too? :)

  8. I loved volunteering. You guys were awesome. Some of my favorite memories were the small snippets of conversation I had with you guys, like the random thoughts on cheese with Simon while carrying packages out to the car. If you guys ever come back for another tour, I would totally volunteer again. Though next time, I’ll remember to actually get a picture with you guys :P

    • Thank you so much for saying that. I really felt bummed that I wasn’t that presentable behind the stage. I was super frazzled and existential, and just felt guilt ridden for not being fun for the people that are helping out so much. I’m glad you don’t think I suck for it. I hope, if there is a next time, I’ll be more comfortable!

      • Simon was super cute being sooo… Nervous. At the same time it was cool. Everyone has their way of dealing with the public. You pulled it off. Outside of your confession and a few witnesses, no one would have known.
