A Week in Punta Cana

Hi everyone!

As some of you might know, we were away for a couple of weeks because of a friend’s wedding in the Dominican Republic. We didn’t shoot any videos while we were there, but we did shoot a bunch of pictures, and we kinda want to be able to share pictures on the site as well, and not just videos. Hopefully you don’t mind, and you’re ok with us sharing some special moments with you. We have descriptions of the pictures in the pictures themselves, so give them a click if you want to know more about them. I don’t know how coherent the description are for everything, because we’re still really jet lagged and confused and the screen is fuzzy. But…I must…share…memories…with you!

  9. Yay you visited my country! It’s silly really, but I got so excited when I visited the EYK front page and saw “A Week in Punta Cana”, I couldn’t wait to see the pictures! I’m so glad you guys enjoyed the island and what it has to offer. Dominican beaches are beautiful, and Punta Cana is one of my favorite parts to visit. Thank you for sharing with us!

  11. Wow, this looks lovely, I would love to take a beach vacation this year, though I also burn like a vampire, like Martina. Argh. Ahh well…it’s just sounds sooo romantic with my special someone. *^_^*

  12. I think it’s so cute how you can tell how much Simon loves Martina from the descriptions on the pictures. *squee* so cute!
And the pictures are beautiful. It looks like you had a great time!

  13. Martina should steal my skin’s non burning properties – I’ve never had a sunburn, but a tiny part of my soul wants to know what a sunburns feels like. Thanks for sharing your pictures :) it is nice seeing another side of you two, and to see you guys finally relaxing after what was no doubt a stressful year.

    • Do you have any tattoos? Whenever someone asks us what it feels like to get a tattoo, we say that the next day feels like a sunburn. So, if you’ve never had a sunburn, it feels like the day after getting a tattoo :)

  14. Martina, I feel your (sunburn) pain! The sun in the UK is pretty weak, but I still burn (never tan :( boo!). I went on holiday to Majorca last summer and, like you, I had to slather suncream on constantly. I didn’t have a nice sun-umbrella like yours, though, so I bought a huge-ass parasol that went everywhere with me! Some of the locals and other holiday-makers gave me some odd looks. I managed to stay burn-free – until the lure of a mini-shaped pedello with a freaking SLIDE became too much, and I was in the sea for too long. Sad, burny times.

Anyway, GORGEOUS pictures. Thanks for sharing them – I’d love to see more posts like this, actually.

    • The sun in the uk is evil…it doesn’t come out that much and is kinda weak but it can sure burn!

  15. Wow, gorgeous pictures!

That cloth umbrella must be purely for looks. It provided as much UV protection as the Spudgy umbrella provided rain protection.

But wait a minute! I thought the whole point of Simon dieting and working out was to show off his manly man physique TO ALL OF THE INTERNETS so he be the next Huge Jackedman in the future Wolverine reboots.

    • Hahaha. No, it wasn’t to show the internets. More just to look better on the beach, which I felt like I did look better than before the diet, but still not something I’d flaunt on camera…yet :D

  16. Such great pictures guys :) Simon, I love that the description of every pic of Martina you posted boils down to “I like her.” Very sweet :)

  17. Simon next to that LOVE sign. I’ve never been more jealous of him. He looks like he’s in a fashion photoshoot for Esquire. Dothraki beard, drink in hand, totally casual. Maximum manliness achieved.

  18. I really loved looking at all the pictures! Despite Martina being sunburned, I think the one with the flowers in her hair is especially pretty too. I do agree the colors and setting make the umbrella one, though.

I’m like Martina though–if I even look at the sun funny I’ll probably get burned. Then form perma-freckles to constantly remind me I did wrong.

  23. Ah..I’m jealous. I dont like the cold or the sun, but I need heat. That beach must be nice right now…

Also jealous of Martina’s parasol.. Wish I’d have one… All I have are regular umbrellas and I get way too many jerks who tell me it isn’t raining out when I use my umbrella in the sun… -_-

  24. Martina, you look gorgeous! I didn’t notice that tan line until I saw the description.
Simon, I see that the diet has went well. *thumbs up*

  25. Oh that is so cool!! Such a beautiful place :)

  26. Sooooo jealous right now. Not of that glorious sunburn though, ouch! It actually matches Martinas hair a little bit…..hopefully it will heal very soon.

  28. Ooo, thank you for sharing your pictures! It looks like you had an amazing time! I came back a week ago after five weeks in Tanzania through my school. The last days we went to Zanzibar and stayed by a beach. It seems that we took some similar photos :-)
I really want to share my photos as well, BUT my macbook collapsed and refuses to work with me. *Runs away crying*
