Welcome everyone, to the last show we post before getting our animals! We’re flying out tomorrow, and we’re in Seoul for five days, then we’re bringing Spudgy and Meemers home! It’s finally happening! I can expect the next few videos to be of us just hugging our animals for a long time. Spudgy at first will be excited to see us, I’m sure, but I think that excitement will wear down after a day. Then he’ll start giving us the body language of “ok stop touching me” while we’re still sobby and petting him a bit too roughly. I’ve seen those videos online of soldiers coming home and their dogs freaking out. Spudgy I think is too old to show that much excitement. I just hope he’s happy to see us, in any way that he can show. Whoa I started talking about our animals a bit too much in a video that doesn’t feature our animals at all.
Ok, let me just talk about how much we love our neighbours. We showed you a clip in which one of them yoohoo-ed us and shared tomatoes with us. Can I tell you right now: those were literally the most delicious tomatoes I’ve ever had in my life. Korean japjali (sp?) tomatoes were my favorite beforehand, because they tasted like they were salted, and I love salted tomatoes, but these tomatoes we got tasted as tomato-ey as a tomato ever tasted. Imagine eating a grape that tastes like the fake grape candies you might have had as a child: this tomato was like eating candy tomatoes, though I don’t think candy tomatoes exist. I need to find out what those tomatoes were, and where I can get more. They’re infinitely better than anything we got at the supermarkets here. And the fact that our neighbour shared them so freely with us is amazing. We barely even wanted to share the tomatoes amongst ourselves. Our neighbourhood is great :D
Anyhow, back to packing for tomorrow! We need to bring some souvenirs for Spudgy and Meemers. A bone from a good ramen broth for Spudgy and a fun toy for Meemers. We’ve seen some cool cat things here for the Meems. I hope they like it!
