So, today’s our last day in Japan, and we’re heading back to Korea tomorrow. Woohoo! We’ve been very busy here, but we also had time to film a few videos, including this one, with some of the fun things we found at the Don Quijote in the Shinsaibashi area of Osaka, though, I think there are two of them here. Probably more.
And let me say, this stuff isn’t even the scariest stuff we saw. The dried baby crabs were tame. We saw these giant pickled shrink wrapped prawns, or at least that’s what I guess they were. My second guess was one of the aliens from Aliens. And then there were some other things that we saw but just couldn’t even guess, all in the dried crab section. Can anyone tell us the right way to eat these things? Are we supposed to rehydrate them first, maybe? Or maybe they’re not meant to be eaten as a snack but added as a spice to cooking? I’m totally confused. It’s still fun to try these out, though, even if we got it all wrong!
We also saw a giant wall of Kitkats. We just did our video on the Japanese Baked Kitkats, and those flavours were available, but we also saw a purple one, and a Kobe pudding one, and a dark something one, and a cheesecake one. And of course the Wasabi ones. But, damn, there was a whole wall just dedicated to Kitkats! I’d like to do a video on all of them one of these days. Hmmm.
Anyhow, we wanted to share our experiences in more than one way. Instead of us just showing you these candies, we wanted to send you some as well. Woohoo! We’re giving away one package to a YouTube subscriber, and another one to a Premium Nasty member. AWW YEAH! We’re not able to include the crabs, however, because customs will surely confiscate those. And we can’t include the boobs either, because in case someone younger wins I don’t want an angry parent mailing us and accusing us of being perverts. We have the Calpis and the Mystery Bottles, though, and we’re also throwing in a bag of the Japanese Baked Kit Kats we filmed last week. And, hey, those Kit Kats taste better than the crabs and the boobs. So, if you’d like to win one of these packages, head on over to our Giveaway Page. Booya!
Also, sadly, this is the only food related video we shot in Japan for this trip. Martina got food poisoning on Sunday and has been sick all week, so we couldn’t go out and film anything. Ah! And we had such epic videos planned! I’m sorry. Hopefully next time we can do the video we wanted to do.
We’ve got an extra scene that we cut out of the final video because it was already going on for long, so here it is! We try some different candy sushis. A lot easier to make than our Popin Cookin Sushi kit we failed at a long time ago, but do they taste better? Hmm…
