As I write this blog post, I’m sitting on the couch, weak and flimsy. I can barely lift my arms above my waist to type this. My shoulders feel useless. My legs are overcooked noodles. Just two hours ago I filmed my introduction of my outdoor gym. I FINALLY MADE IT! And, oh boy, am I ever weaker than before. It’s terrible. I can barely lift half of what I could lift back in December. Six months and it’s like I’m a newbie at the gym again. It’s ok. Give me six months and I’ll be stronger than ever!
It took a while, I know. I was hopeful with finding a gym around Kichijoji, but every gym I went to said that I can’t join, even if I kept my tattoos hidden. I told them people would never see the tattoos, because I’d wear long sleeved shirts, but that didn’t matter. There were other gyms that were ok with tattoos, but they were a lot farther from home, and, let’s be honest: the farther a gym is from your house the less likely you are to go. But if you build your own gym in your backyard, what’s going to stop you from working out?! And, really, the cost of building the gym is cheaper than going to a gym in the long run. So I’m set! Now to get back into decent shape. I’ve gotten so much softer and weaker in half a year…
On another note, I shared my deepest shame with you in today’s video. You might not see me doing any backwards shots for a while now. I filmed Martina doing one today, and the whole time I filmed it I didn’t even look at the camera. I just stared all around her and looked to make sure that she won’t ram into anyone. Usually we walk so slow that people walk around us, no problem. But now the fear is real. And until I get someone who can see around me to ensure that I don’t bump into anyone, I’m not sure if I’ll be the one walking backwards for a while. I’m just too big for people to see around. AND IM ABOUT TO GET BIGGER SON PEEP THESE GAINSSSSSS.
So that’s it for this week. Check out this week’s Magical Mail Time. We’re probably one more video away from fully catching up to all our packages. We’re almost there!
