Hello everyone! We’re in Thailand right now celebrating our anniversary so this isn’t going to be as useful or thoughtful a blog post as usual. I’m sitting by the beach now and writing this in the morning with a coffee. This is great!

You know what else is great? This travel pack we made. When we arrive anywhere, be it airbnb or hotel, I unpack right away. Right away. And unpacking this was a dream! This baggy went to the bathroom, that one to the desk, this one to the closet. Compartmentalizing is fun.

You know what else is fun? Celebrating our anniversary! 11 years of being married! It’s time for some morning Pina Coladas before our brunch Pina Coladas, which will be followed by Lunch Pina Coladas, which will be followed by a hangover the next day.

Thank you Audible for sponsoring this video. Hey get an audiobook! Martina’s going to be listening to hers today…WITH A PINA COLADA!

  1. Hey this is a comment directed to Martina. Hi Martina, my name is Gavin and I’m 21 years old. I’ve been experiencing chronic back and neck pain and all of my joints constantly click and have snapping sounds sometimes. I’m wondering what signs of EDS you had since you were little maybe? Is this something that can happen later in life? I know I should go to a doctor but I can’t afford it right now and you’re the only one I know out there who is suffering from some chronic pain like I am specifically in your joints.

    • You’ve helped me out a lot with the “Build a ladder” motto and it’s helped me lose weight, go jogging, and be active instead of being shut away in my room all the time. You have no idea how much you’ve helped me improve my life beyond measure. I’m just at a loss right now trying to find out what’s wrong with me while saving to go to my doctors office

  2. Love the tips you guys suggested, especially the comfort kit. For my next trip I’m definitely going to use that idea! Also, Martina I love your Kindle case! Where did you get it?

  3. So I stopped mid-video just to say… Audiobooks! They are a total game changer. We audiobook all the time now. (Can audiobook be a verb?) But seriously, cooking, cleaning, driving around, taking a bath, as we go to sleep (Although this back fires with a really good book and you just end up staying awake listening. Pick a book you’ve heard before.), it’s the way to go. Paper books are awesome, but you can’t read a paper book and make dinner. And there are just so many great books, now there is time for more of them. Multitasking win!

Aah, you make me so jealous! I am a pina colada monster but since I don’t have a gallbladder any more, I can’t tolerate them T_T. Also Thailand seems awesome ;). AirBnB stuff – such great ideas, all of those things are super useful – so excited to try the Chai Spritz even for at home. Lot of low voice editing – so great! Simon – those cable and underwear packs are super convenient, I only bring my phone so all I need is a charger but I can see that’s great for work. Martina – why don’t they make comfy cute shoes for women with large feet?! (except if you have super narrow feet?!) – I have the same problem and same shoe size(s)! But…. I don’t wear slippers except in deep winter. Travel jibs – completely necessary! I have at least 2 pair! It’s nice to have some comfy PJs that you can be seen in, in case someone comes to the door while you’re lounging or just need to run to the ice machine without getting completely dressed. For me, there useful at home for when my son has a sleepover, a tank top and panties won’t cut it any more since they’re getting older now… 9_9. Simon – except in rare exceptions, only men sleep naked – because there is a reason. In warm weather, women get sweaty where skin touches skin in armpits, crotch, etc. but we’ve been told to shave any body hair so that we don’t have the protection from this that men do, it’s just not comfortable and sometimes of the month, even impractical for a woman to sleep naked. But men -go ahead, we like to look at your naked butts ;). Martina – if you have prescription pain patches, you should look into prescription anti-nausea medicine. Ondansetron is great. I don’t get nauseous often, but sometimes from strong medicine so this helps MILES better than Gravol and doesn’t have any side effects and plays nice with most pain killers. Also, don’t sick around with Pepto Bismol or TUMS, etc., Pepcid-AC is overall better and has different ingredients than plan antacids. They have chewable tablets or tiny swallow tablets that work instantly for both ends. I alwasy keep a few in my tiny pill-kit. The folding! So hilarious! Just like watching my son, he really laughed at this part because he is like Martina and I am like Simon XD Audio books are very enjoyable but sometimes, when you need to mix it up a little and you can’t access radio, podcasts can be great. Some CBC ones that I listen to are Spark (about new technology), The Debaters (a comedy show where they debate ridiculous topics), Under the Influence (about the advertising industry), and White Coat Black Art (about the medical industry). You also can’t go wrong with a nice heart-warming Vinyl Cafe Story, if you can still find them around. If you pack pillows (and who doesn’t?) remember to bring an extra pillow case, just because……..Simon, my man uses Axe Body Spray – for me ;)…………. Great video guise! SfX, corny music, and deep voices really made it super fun – as always!
