Hello everyone!

As some of you might know, the Eatyourkimchi Studio is where we film and edit most of our videos. It’s a really in a really cool spot in Hongdae, and it’s lovely and quirky and warm. Sadly, though, it’s in a business building, and there are security gates everywhere, which makes it rather impossible for people to just stop by and walk in. Also, we’re so busy working on many different projects that we can’t have people stop by all the time. It’s one of the main reasons we set up our cafe, You Are Here Cafe, so we can have a place where we can stop by and chat and hang out with you guise.

Before we had the cafe, though, last year, we tried fixing this lack of people in the studio by having a one day pop up store event, in which people could buy some of our merchandise in person, and get a glimpse of the studio while we’re at it. Spudgy was there as well, and he got to meet lots of lovely people! We haven’t done an event like that since then, since we’ve been doing most of our events at the coffee shop, but, you know, last year we had a wonderful time the pop up event in our studio, so we figured it’s time we have another one of these events.

We’d love to see you there! We’ve got many more people in the studio now, and we’d love for you to see them. We’re also going to be opening up more of the studio so that more people can be in at once, rather than waiting in the hallways like last year. We’re better organized this year! We’ll have more food and snacks! We’ll have teas from our cafe as well. We’re also having a once a year sale on all of our items. It’s gonna be a lovely time altogether. Booya!

Directions!

Let’s start off with a Google Map. Boy!

We also have a Google Plus for the studio, in case you need more info.

TAXI:

Our address is Mapo-Gu, Seogyo-dong, 363-1. The taxi can type that in to their Navigation system. We’re in the same building as Cafe Guinaru and Monster Pizza. We’re on the 4th floor. Take the stairs to the left of Monster Pizza and that’ll lead all the way up!

Subway:

There are a couple of ways to get here, but the best is probably to get off at Sangsu station, Seoul Subway Line 6: Exit 1. Go up the stairs and swing right immediately. Keep walking straight for about 5 minutes (you’re walking towards Hongik University) until you arrive at the lights with the VANS Shoe Store on the corner. Keep walking straight at the lights and just as you pass the building on the corner under construction, you’ll see two bright red doors on your left (and Club In2deep). Head inside and up to the 4th floor. If you pass the Monster Pizza you JUST missed our entrance, back up!

Lastly, We also doodled our own map with lines and doodles. Try this picture out as another option :D

Prices!

Here’s what we’ve got on sale. Woohoo!

  7. OH! I arrive in Seoul, from Norway, on the 19th!!!! I will be really tired.. But i have to try going! Have been watching your videoes for years. I was so happy finding samcheongdong on my first trip to Korea (in 2012), because i had watched your video about the place ;)

  8. I wish I lived in Korea! I hope this year is as successful as last year for you all!

  9. I don’t know if these hats are the same or not, but from this online shop, these really look like EYK hats just without the logos.. http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.137.uVeca4&id=17035167691&abbucket=8

  10. *sigh* Again, I find myself wishing I lived (or at least was) in Korea. My favorite part of the video was definitely when Simon accidentally flicked Martina’s hat so it stood up for the rest of the video!

  11. I agree with Martina, I think she has the better Santa voice. I can imagine little children being scared to the giant man yelling everything, beard or no beard.

  12. ooooh… i wonder if i could scrounge up enough money for a mini trip to Korea…? I’ve actually been thinking about it since i have no christmas plans (and i live in Japan so it’s not far…) what to do, what to do… *pops over to check flight prices*

  13. Ahhhhhh so excited! I had been wondering for the last few days if there would be another pop-up store event (cause this is the only Christmas I’ll be in Korea in) so YAY and wonderfulness! Was planning on going to the DMZ that day but screw that for another weekend! :D

Definitely buying the pink and black scarf! You guys don’t happen to have any of the pink bunny beanies for sale this year? :)

  14. *sigh* I wish I could be there.

For those in the area that attend, please send us a full and detailed report of the festivities! Put it in the app and make a popup store tag so we can all live vicariously through you!

  15. Another year where I’m sulking because there’d be no way for me to go. At least this year I’m working so I can always try and save up for a trip to Korea which will probably cost a lot of money… But I will get to Korea one of these days… probably in a couple of years…
I already know there’s no way it’s one of your kpop buddies as Santa, mainly since if anyone ever sat on their laps, they’d be broken in two, especially Kevin.

  16. Maybe one day I will make it to Korea! And it will be when you guys are not on tour, but in Korean. And you will just happen to be having a pop up event then…and you will be selling that wolverine cat tote…and it will be on sale… *sigh* I can dream, right?

  17. Oh this is torture! I have been wanting a wolverine cat tote for a while now! I also want a coffee mug! On the upside, I did just order the combo with the scarf, arm warmers, beanie, and stickers last week. ;)

  18. Wish I was there…
    Spudgy <3

  19. BRB gonna go cry…

(AND THE FRIGGIN WOLVERMEEM TOTE BAG, AAARRRRGGGGHHH, I’ve seen it in a couple of your videos but can’t even get iiiiiiit .·´¯`(>o<)´¯`·.)

I've noticed I usually get more disappointed of not being in Korea for the special events you guys have than for any kpop-related event that I'm also missing out on haha.

  20. :( :( :( one of those times where I wish I lived some where in or closer to Korea. Or had a couple grand to just drop to go on vacation and play! It sucks to have adult responsibilities sometimes. Please make the combos a thing on the online store :(.

  21. Seduce Onew with some chicken and maybe Taemin will come to rescue him? Then you can have 2 Santas and be the most popular studio in town, HoHoHo!

  22. Oooo im so lucky to be in Seoul for this! It’ll be so cool to see you guys again, and i can’t wait to meet Spudgy!

  23. but SanTaemin would be the best!!
just let him follow a trail of sweets to your place, grab him, fatten him up with delicious food and then he’ll be perfect to sit on!

T_T wish i could go to this….maybe one day in the future i should plan a trip to SK around this time of year ahaha!!

  24. Will the sales be included for the online shop? I am looking forward to buy a couple of things, and that would be awesome :3

  25. Ok this is really funny, because I came to Korea to study Korean and this was the year that you opened up the You are Here Cafe AND on top of that you have the Studio. This means that I can finally see your beautiful faces instead of just behind a computer AND purchase your merchandise. This is a dream come true. I will be there tomorrow. LOOK FOR ME! lol

  26. Oh my god, I could not stop laughing when Simon’s hand knocked into Marina’s hat and it then proceeded to stay erect throughout the rest of the video.

  27. Gosh, wouldn’t it be cool to be in Seoul to be part of this? Sadly it comes on such short notice for those of us overseas who haven’t made plans to go there, and last minute holiday travel is much more expensive (I worked in the travel industry in the past so I speak from experience) than at a more normal time.

Also have you noticed? I’m the first one to comment! Yay! :D
