So, Jung Joon Young was in our video booth. We weren’t actually told about this in advance. We were just called out of the blue and told about it by his company. They were like “hey, he just filmed a video here; can we have the footage?” and we had no clue what they were talking about. See, when people record in our video booth, the video gets sent to Dropbox, and takes a while to synchronize with our computers. So, we didn’t actually know it had happened until they called. Ha! I’m glad, though, that they stopped by the cafe. I just wish we’d have known in advance.
For those of you who don’t know, Jung Joon Young is kinda famous in Korea. One of the new members of Eatyourkimchi freaked out when she found out about the video. We’re not that familiar with him, because he was a part of Superstar K, and we don’t have cable so we don’t really watch Korean TV all too often. But he’s a lot bigger of a deal then we had originally thought!
Otherwise, for all of the selfies, we thought it was about time we put together some of the footage we’ve been stockpiling for a while. Our video booth, you see, doesn’t just shoot videos. It actually has quite nice lighting in there as well. Makes you look all pretty. The key to looking great on video is, more than makeup, good lighting :D So people come into the video booth, type in their name and country, and start recording videos, and then just take selfies. Funny thing is, you don’t have to start recording for the light to be on. The light’s always on!
Also, not sure if you noticed this, but most of the cameras that took selfies had the shutter sound on. Anyone know why? Anti-pervert laws, that’s why! For Korean cameras, you can’t mute the shutter! Fascinating, eh?
