The Eatyourkimchi Road Trip: Final Entry

And thus, ladies and gentlemen, concludes the epic Eatyourkimchi Road Trip from Summer 2014. It’s almost winter now, and we’ve been publishing these videos for a while now. Starting next week we’re gonna be posting our European Tour videos, of which we have some awesome, fun shots. But for now, we thought we’d give you a look at the behind the scenes of our road trip!

One of the things you’ll notice: I was quite sick for the road trip. I was coughing incessantly, and it was really annoying for everyone. Sure, it looks bad on camera, but I got these cough attacks while sleeping as well, and since we were all in rooms with paper thin walls, everyone would wake up with me. I think I woke up one time with Martina holding a pillow over my face. HA! No, that didn’t happen, but I’m sure the temptation was there. I probably should have seen a doctor rather than just waiting to walk it off. I did eat a lot of lozenges, though! I’m not sure why I put an exclamation mark on that. It wasn’t something to be happy about. I’m better now! There: that’s something to be happy about :D

Also, Martina is rather stumped now that I have given a new meaning to Kogi, her stuffed pig’s words. He used to just say “Weet weet weet,” and we got that sound from the pig marble from Marble Mania on the Wii, if anyone has played that. He also makes the “Bukata BOW” sound if he rolls off a bed. But then I realized that he sounds like he’s saying “yes” in French all the time, and because he doesn’t know any other words, he’s always agreeing with me. “Hey Kogi! Do you want me to kick you in the face?” WEE WEE WEE! I guess that means, yes, right? It even got to the point a couple of nights ago, when Martina and I were unwinding for the night: we put on classical French Music, and one of the songs had a French man say “Oui Oui Oui” and we immediately thought of Kogi, our French Piggy.

Ok, that’s enough silly story time: we’ve also made a playlist of our entire road trip, if you want to see it start to finish. Check it out!

  1. That puppy was sooooo cute. I have a weakness for cute things like Spudgy,Kogi, and Meemers. I just wanted to pick that puppy up and take it home. So so so cute!

  7. Hi eyk! Greetings from Sweden.
I was watching Simons video game TL;DR when I suddenly wonder what gaming culture is like in Korea.
Are there many arcades and what consoles and games are big in Korea?
    Ooooh you so nasty!

  13. OK I am not sure if you’re going to get this, because I know that you studied English like I do, but I believe you mainly focussed on literature?

So Kogi is a French pig right.. And you know pork is the French loan for pig in cuisine (Norman conquest, 1066!).. does that mean you’re soon going to eat Kogi? Wee, wee, wee!

    • Ha! Yes, we’re gonna do a better job. We’re trying not to stay at the computers too late now, which is why some videos don’t get posted on time, because we’re not up till 2AM doing them anymore. Health before wealth! But, we’ve still got a slew of awesome videos about to be published! Just…not in a timely manner :D
